May our friendship last forever;
May I sail upon your sea.
May we go through life together;
May there always be a "we."

May I be your endless sky;
May you breathe my gentle air.
May you never wonder why
Each time you look for me, I'm there.

May we be for each a smile
Like the warm, life-giving sun;

Minutes, hours and days go by
But you're always by my side
When I'm down and feeling blue
I can always count on you.

You make me giggle, you make me laugh

A Friendship Prayer

I paused to say a prayer today
Thoughts just flooded my mind,
I prayed that God would visit you,
And give you peace of mind.

I thanked Him for the blessings
He sends to me along the way,
I prayed that He would bless you too,
And guide you til your life is through.

I told my God some have so many trials,
And life seems such a up hill climb,
I ask that He would send you strength,
He is God, He is always on time.

You have become so dear to me
How great to have you as my friend,
I pray that angels will guard your life,
Until your journey on earth will end.

Need a Friend

Life is a splendid thing, for sure
Or could be, quite a lot,
For being showered with loving friends
Is the nicest thing we've got.
God's been watering all our hearts
Of this we do not doubt,
In planting only lovely things
We get the good things out.

If we've got some love to share
With a friend all tried and true,
We sure feel oh so cozy
Sharing the special things we do.
Sometimes these days it pours with rain
So we hit some right raw mud,
But we can patch it up with loving
And chuckle at the fun.

Our God was nice to make blue skies
Come out with nice sunny hours
In rolling out the cutest kids
He planted all the flowers.
This place is not all bad
From all the praying on our knees,

God gives us all a bite to eat

These days there's way too much
Of shoving just to get,
We need to leave a lot more space
For loving others yet.

Stay As True Friends

When miles come in numbers
it may seem a dream
of friendships that blossomed
that now seem supreme.

For two found a moment
as echoes they heard
that are now as miles
with just written word.

The friendships of theirs
came deep from within
as they followed their hearts
then time and agin.

The miles came quickly,
but yet they seemed slow,
for when they were together
they just didn't know.

The friendships still strive on
as miles come conclude
with letter after letter
as a friendship prelude.

For now still the friendships
of them each today
are holding fast together
in a lovingly way.

Love comes in packages
that miles can't destroy,
as they stay as true friends
as a girl and a boy.

So miles cannot dissipate
what's truly alive,
because it's the memories
that keep them alive.
