When troubles, dangers, and sorrows befall you,
And you're looking all around for someone to turn to,
I'll be there.
When your spirit sinks into the depths of despair,
And just wish for a moment the world was fair,
I'll be there.
When one you have loved has passed away,
And, although I know there's nothing I can say,
I'll be there.
So, when the world has turned its back to you,
And you're looking for a light to help you through,
I'll be there.
Because that's what friends are for, day after day,
No matter how many times... to be able to say,
I'll be there.
